Kathmandu, March 10 The presidium of Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal today decided to vote for Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli tomorrow when he sought vote of confidence in the Parliament. The party also decided to vote for left alliance presidential candidate Bidya Devi Bhandari, said RJP-N leader Rajendra Mahato. The Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal will take a formal decision on this issue tomorrow, but FSF-N Chair Upendra Yadav said his party would vote for PM Oli tomorrow and presidential candidate Bidya Devi Bhandari on March 13 when the presidential election would be held. Mahato said his party was trying to reach a deal with the left alliance on RJP-N’s   participation in the Oli government as well as the issue of constitution amendment. Even if a deal was not reached, his party would vote for Oli and Bhandari. “We want to reciprocate the left alliance’s support for our coalition government in Province 2,” Mahato said and added that the left alliance had given unconditional support to the Lalbabu Raut government in Province 2 and it was his party’s moral obligation to support the left alliance government and its presidential candidate. FSF-N Chair Upendra Yadav said his party wanted to vote in favour of Oli and Bhandari for the sake of political stability. ‘We want to give a message of political stability and for this we will vote for Oli and Bhandari,” Yadav said. He added that the left alliance had not put forth any condition before his party in Province 2 when its Provincial Assembly members voted for the Raut-led government. Mahato said his party felt no obligation towards the Nepali Congress’ presidential candidate because though the RJP-N had supported the NC in recent months, NC members of Province 2  Assembly had voted against the FSF-N-RJP-N coalition government. The left alliance has 174 votes in the 275-member HoR with the UML’s 121 members and the CPN-MC’s 53 members. The Nepali Congress has fielded Laxmi Rai as its presidential candidate. The FSF-N has 16 members in the HoR and the RJP-N 17. If all left alliance lawmakers and lawmakers of the FSF-N and RJP-N vote for Oli tomorrow, he will secure 207 votes, 23 votes more than the two-thirds majority.  PM Oli is scheduled to prove his majority in the House at 3:00pm tomorrow. Oli was appointed prime minister as per Article 76 (2) of the constitution. As  per Article 76 (4) of the constitution, the PM is required to prove majority in the House within 30 days from the day of appointment.
