Chitwan car accident kills one injuring three

RATNANAGAR, CHITWAN: A person died and three others were injured in a car accident that took place at Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-3 along the Prithvi Highway in Chitwan district this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Saroj Subedi (24) of Jungekhola in Dhading district, while the injured have been identified as car driver Anup Singh (24) also of Jungekhola, Mahesh Shrestha (21) of Benighat, and Sarad Rokka (24) of Dhunibesi.

The incident occurred when the car (Ba 12 Cha 4615) en route from Dhading to Pokhara lost its control and plunged into the roadside ditch at 2:30 am in Chumlingtar of Muglin-Malekhu road section, according to Muglin-based Area Police Office.

Critically injured Subedi breathed his last on his way to the College of Medical Sciences, Bharatpur.

Meanwhile, others injured are receiving treatment at the same medical facility. Health condition of Rokka is said to be critical, according to police.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
