KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Club and Golden Gate International College won their matches of the Kwik’s Basketball League on Saturday. TAC thrashed Kirtipur Basketball Team 84-61. TAC claimed the first two quarters 18-12 and 19-12 before Kirtipur took the third period 19-18. TAC bounced back to claim the fourth quarter 29-18 to maintain their unbeaten run in 10 matches. TAC’s Sadish Pradhan netted 29 points and Rabin Khatri scored 23. Kirtipur’s Abhishek Singh contributed 20 points. In another match, Golden Gate thrashed Team Budhanilkantha Municipality 89-52 riding on Binod Shrestha’s 28 points. Golden Gate won the first three periods 19-9, 33-7 and 18-15 before Budhanilkantha took the fourth 21-19. Golden Gate’s Rajiv Joshi contributed 17 points. After the day’s results, leaders TAC accumulated 30 points, while Golden Gate and Bishal Milan Kendra have 24 each. — HNS
