CM Poudel inspects Hetauda hospital

Hetauda, March 23 Chief Minister of Province 3 Dormani Poudel today inspected Hetauda hospital and inquired about the state of health services being provided by the hospital. CM Poudel also directed the hospital administration to set up Intensive Care Unit and start dialysis service soon. CM Poudel also directed the hospital to submit a report after the hospital management committee chair Ramesh Giri said that they could not operate the services due to the lack of budget. He said the hospital’s income had decreased after its buildings were brought down for road expansion. Medical superintendent at the hospital Dr Kamal Dawadi said a contract had been signed with Rotary Club of Makawanpur for procurement of two dialysis machines. “It is necessary to bring the ICU in operation for the same,” he added. Dr Dawadi said the hospital management had to hire more doctors and nurses if the ICU was to be brought into operation,” he informed. Earlier, CP Poudel had held discussion on improving services at the hospital with Giri, Dr Dawadi, Dr Hari Bahadur Khadka, Chair of Rotary Club of Makawanpur Puran Bahadur Joshi and Makawanpur president of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Krishna Katwal.
