Tiger kills woman, injures two others in Makawanpur

HETAUDA: A woman was killed and two men were injured in a tiger attack in Manahari Rural Municipality-7 of Makawanpur district, on Monday. The deceased has been identified as a 42-year-old Saraswati Bartaula while the injured are Raj Kumar Aryal (38) and Ganeshman Thing (22), all the local residents. Bartaula died after she was attacked by a tiger while she was cutting grass near her home. The injured are undergoing treatment at the Manahari Primary Health Centre. Meanwhile, a team deployed from Parsa Wildlife Reserve under the command of Conservation Officer Hari Bhadra Acharya, has been searching for the big cat straying into the areas near human settlements. (UPDATED) Woman killed in tiger attack in Makawanpur KATHMANDU: A 41-year-old woman was killed in tiger attack in Mahahari Rural Municipality-7 of Makawanpur district, on Monday. Police identified the victim as Saraswati Bartaula of Ramauli Pratapur in the same rural municipality. According to police Bartaula was mauled by the wild beast while collecting fodder near the dry river bed shore in the area. Meanwhile, the investigation is underway.
