BHOJPUR: Property worth around Rs 470,000 were destroyed in a fire that gutted a house in Bhotekhola Rural Municipality-2 of Sankhuwasabha district, on Wednesday. The fire that suddenly started in the house belonging to Thunang Lama burned the house and property housed inside to cinders, according to Province 1 Police Office, Biratnagar. Police personnel deployed from the Chepuwa-based Area Police Office doused the fire with the help of locals. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, informed police. Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
