KATHMANDU: GoldenGate International College have won the first Kwik’s Basketball League. GoldenGate defeated Tribhuwan Army Club (96-95) to lift the trophy of the first ever national level basketball tournament. A minor controversy ensued for a short while after Tribhuwan Army Club asked for a review of the point scored in the final seconds of the game. However, the decider one point was declared to be a fair one and GoldenGate International College were established as the winners. The finals were held today at NSC covered hall and were preceded by a third-spot game in which Bishal Milan Kendra beat Himalayan Hounds. Chief of Army Staff, General Rajendra Chhetri was the Chief Guest at the full-house event attended by scores of basketball enthusiasts. READ ALSO:
