BHAIRAHAWA: Bishnuhari Aryal, under-secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Forest of Province 5 has committed suicide. Officiating at the Industry Department under the ministry, he was found hanging in the residential quarters provided by the government in Bhairahawa. Police made public the incident on Wednesday evening. Aryal was a resident of Jagriti Chowk in Bharatpur metropolis of Chitwan. According to Rupandehi District Police Office Spokesperson DSP Dilli Narayan Pande, a suicide note was found from the suicide spot. “It is learnt that he was a depression patient who had been under medication for the past 27 years or so,” said the DSP. Aryal was found hanging on a rope from a peg used to hang ceiling fans. His friends living in the same quarters informed the police after he did not come out of his room for meal on Tuesday evening after heading to his quarters from the office in the afternoon, citing poor health. Two other under-secretaries live in the quarters where Aryal lived. His body was taken to Bhim Hospital for post mortem.
