PM Oli meets Indian President Ram Nath Kovind

KATHMANDU: The President of India Ram Nath Kovind has received Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Rashtrapati Bhavan this morning on the second day of PM Oli's three-day state visit to India. On the occasion, President Kovind praised PM Oli's contribution to India-Nepal partnership. He also congratulated PM Oli on his election to the post of Prime Minister of Nepal. They held discussions on issues relating to bilateral ties and mutual interests. 'No other countries in the world have the bonds of friendship and cooperation that exist between India and Nepal. Regular exchanges of visits at the highest political level demonstrate the priority that we attach to our special partnership,' President of India tweeted. It further read that India’s abiding interest is in the stability and economic prosperity of Nepal, and that India stood ready to expand cooperation with Nepal as per Nepal’s priorities. Earlier, Indian government had presented a guard of honour to PM Oli at a special function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
