Pokhara, April 10 Minister for Defence Ishwor Pokhrel today said the government would make its policy and programme public within a week. Addressing a gathering of CPN-UML cadres in Pokhara today, Pokhrel said this fiscal budget would be different from previous years. “The government is trying to bring central, provincial and local planning,” he informed. He said the old projects were moving ahead with the previous processes. He said a stable government had been formed for five years and the UML and CPN-MC’s election manifesto would be implemented. “The country will move ahead after the government brings its policy and programme,” he added. Pokhrel held that the CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre would be unified soon after the report of the task force. “Unification of the two parties is the need of the people and the nation,” Pokhrel said. He said that the people had already approved the left alliance in the election. Similarly, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari said working hours at Tribhuvan International Airport would be extended from 18 to 21 hours within two to three days. He said his ministry has been working hard to bring in more than 20 lakh tourists to Nepal in the year 2020. “It is necessary to increase airports to increase the number of tourists,” he said. Adhikari added that tourism in the country would increase if helipads were put in place in areas without road access. “The tourists will reach every corner of the country if there is one helipad in one local level,” he said.
