Kathmandu, March 2:

The 13th central committee meeting of the CPN-ML, chaired by party general secretary CP Mainali, stressed the need for developing joint movement of the seven-party alliance to a decisive level and further strengthening the 12-point understanding reached between the alliance and the Maoists.

A statement issued by the party’s central publication committee stated that meeting, which started on Tuesday “seriously” discussed general secretary Mainali’s political report.

It said the meeting stressed the need for clarification about the “possibility” of an alliance between the parties and the Maoists.

The meeting has focused its discussions on the party’s requirement of formulating appropriate programme to resolve the country’s crisis, keeping in mind the national and international power balance, Rai said in his statement.
