Chitwan, April 23 Home Minister and CPN-MC leader Ram Bahadur Thapa today disclosed that the CPN-UML and CPN-MC leadership had decided on dual leadership modality from the central to the district level after party unification. Speaking to mediapersons at Bharatpur Airport in Chitwan today, Minister Thapa clarified that both the partiesā€™ leadership had finalised all the issues regarding unification. ā€œOnly party unification is left and it will be declared soon, said Thapa, adding that all political, ideological and organisational bases had been finalised.ā€ He also said that they had finalised how to settle the issue of the role of peopleā€™s war and organizational structures. He, however, said that the parties could not declare unification on the slated date of April 22 due to minor technical reasons. As understanding had been forged on managing the portfolio of leaders, nothing could hinder unification any more. Meanwhile, Home Minister Thapa said that the organisational structure of the police force was developing as per the federal set-up. ā€œThere will be federal and provincial structure of Nepal Police and the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued executive directives to ensure necessary coordination between the district, provincial and federal structures,ā€ reiterated minister Thapa.
