Surkhet, April 26 Karnali Province presented its budget for the current fiscal at the Provincial Assembly meeting in the provincial headquarters Surkhet today. The 1.0205 billion rupees worth plans and policies meant for the last three months of the current fiscal was presented by Financial Planning Minister Prakash Jwala, with 42.95 per cent (Rs 438.403 million) and 57.05 per cent (Rs 582.097 million) allocated for current expenses and capital expenses respectively. While Rs 130 million has been allocated for road and bridge construction, Rs 12 million-plus has been set aside for resolving drinking water-related problems. Similarly, Rs 14.7 million has been earmarked for construction, maintenance and renovation of temples, monasteries.
