RPP-Democratic set to hold first central working committee meeting

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Democratic is gearing up for its first ever central working committee meeting slated to take place from May 8 to 10 in Kathmandu.
RPP-Democratic Chairman, Pashupati Shumsher JBR, summoned the meeting as per the party statute requirement. The meeting will be participated by 300 leaders including party office-bearers, central members, provincial heads and chiefs of the party's local organisations. The meeting will deliberate on strengthening the party's organisation across the country as per the contemporary political scenario and unifying the leaders and parties, General Secretary Rajaram Shrestha said. An election review report, organisational report, report on party's programmes held by the secretariat, report on future programmes and an economic report will also be presented for discussion during the meeting, according to Spokesperson Rajendra Gurung. The party was formed on August 8 after splitting from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and went on to gain legal status based on a ruling by the Supreme Court on August 22.This is the first time the party is holding its central working committee meeting after formation.
