HETAUDA: Citing that three years have passed since devastating earthquake of 7.8 magnitude on April 25, 2015, Chief Minister Dor Mani Paudel has stressed on effective delivery of relief packages to quake victims in Makwanpur district. Paudel urged the National Reconstruction Authority not to make false promises to the quake affected survivors, he said so while speaking at an interaction  programmee organised by the NRA in Hetauda, on Friday. Paudel also suggested NRA to carry out result oriented works to people. UML Parliamentary Party leader and CM Paudel urged the officials to find problems which are obstructing in expediting reconstruction works in the district. 'If the rules and procedures are lengthy in resolving the issues then the existing laws have to be reviewed and carried out reconstruction works accordingly,' Paudel clarified. Despite three years of effort by the NRA, the reconstruction works have failed to gain momentum, the working pattern has to be changed to speed up the reconstruction, Paudel said sarcastically. 'NRA won't be able to shift quake victims to houses from tent with current work rate. Central government is over stretched in carrying out reconstruction works. The central government has to hand over the responsibility of reconstruction work to the provincial government.' Paudel lamented. He further said that there are 119 local levels in the province which would help to expedite in carrying out the reconstruction works.
