Closed-circuit cameras installed in community schools

Siraha, April 27 Golbazaar Municipality has installed closed-circuit television cameras in six community schools in Siraha. Mayor Devnath Sah said CCTV cameras were installed to closely monitor the schools’ activities.  “We have used the technology to increase monitoring to improve quality of education in the first phase,” Sah said. He expressed confidence that the use of technology would help to improve the quality of education in schools. “Education sector has been excessively politicised. A lot of effort is needed to put the educational institutions back on track. Use of CCTV cameras is the first step in this regard,” Sah added. According to Mayor Sah, the first meeting of the municipality assembly had decided to make the education sector technology-friendly. He pledged to invest more in the sector for improving the quality of education.
