2 injured, 2 vehicles gutted in Dhading vehicle pile-up

DHADING: Two persons were injured and two vehicles gutted in a pile-up involving four vehicles in Thakre Rural Municipality-2 along Prithvi Highway of Dhading district on Wednesday morning. According to police, the incident occurred when a cement laden truck (Na 6 Kha 2781) en route from Muglin to Kathmandu tried to avoid hitting a motorcycle (Ba 75 Pa 6051) coming from the opposite direction and went on to collide with Nepal Army truck (Ba 2 Ga 2463) en route from Kathmandu to Gajuri, before another motorcycle (Ba 36 Pa 4239) crashed into them, starting a fire. The Na 6 Kha 2781 plated truck and Ba 75 Pa 6051 plated motorcycle were gutted in the incident, according to locals. In the incident, two persons riding the motorcycle were injured and have been rushed to health facilities in Kathmandu, informed police. The burning vehicles, in the middle of the road, disrupted the movement along Prithvi Highway for some time. Meanwhile further investigation into the case is underway, police.
