One killed, three injured in Chitwan lorry-truck collision

CHITWAN: A person was killed and three others injured after a lorry and truck collided at Pampha Bridge of Rapti municipality-6 along the East West Highway in the wee hours today. According to Chitwan District Police Office, a lorry with Indian registration no. PP 05AB 9494 heading towards Bharatpur collided head-on with a truck (Na 6 Kha 683) at 2:35 am today. The deceased has been identified as lorry driver Sukdev Singh (35) of Ferozepur in Panjab, India. Police identified the injured as the lorry owner, and truck's driver and his assistant. Singh sustained fatal injuries in the collision and died during the course of treatment at 6:31 am today. Meanwhile, the injured are undergoing treatment. They are reported to be out of danger.
