BARA: A man has been arrested in possession of 13 kilograms of hashish from Jeetpur Simara Sub Metropolitan City-14 in Bara district, on Monday, police said. A police team deployed from a temporary police post in Inarwarsi apprehended 50-year-old man Kamal Mahato of Jeetpur Simara Sub Metropolitan City-10 from a bridge over Dudhaura River in the district. Superintendent of Police (SP) Meera Chaudhary said, 'Acting on a special tip-off, police held Mahato, who was heading to Inarwarsi from Jeetpur with the drug.' SP Chaudhary further said that police are preparing to file a case under the Narcotic Drugs (Control) Act 1976 against Mahato. Meanwhile, the suspect and the seized drug have been made public at the Bara District Police Office today itself.
