One killed, two injured in Dhading truck plunge

DHADING: A man was killed and two others sustained injuries after a truck plunged into Hugdi River in Benighat of Rorang Rural Municipality along the Prithvi Highway on Wednesday. 23-year-old Sher Bahadur Shahi of Madhyabindu Municipality in Nawalpur district succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital, police informed. According to the police, the over speeding truck (Na 5 Kha 1568) en route to Chitwan from Kathmandu lost balance and rammed into Hugdi River bridge before falling 20 metres down the bridge around 10:00 am. Manoj Ale from Madhyabindu Municipality in Nawalpur and Lekh Bahadur Gharti of Ganga Municipality, Arghakhanchi sustained injuries in the incident. The injured were treated at a community hospital and have been sent to Kathmandu for further treatment, Traffic Police Office, Gajuri informed.
