Kathmandu, March 9:

As part of bringing out the agendas of People with Disabilities (PAW) in the mainstream through the rights-based approach, the Common Forum for Rights of People with Disabilities today decided to press the government to amend existing policies.

“The amendment of the Acts and policies will make way to bring necessary changes in other sectors as well,” Birendra Raj Pokharel, president of the National Federation of the Disabled, said. “We will focus on issues like accessibility of PAWs in public infrastructure, education, and statistics,” he said.
