KANCHANPUR: Police on Sunday evening reportedly arrested three persons including an Indian national involved in taking a girl from Mahakali Municipality of Kanchanpur district to India. Police arrested Mahendra Pal (47) of Khatima-6 in Udham Singh Nagar District of Uttarakhand state in northern India for enticing the girl with various incentives and taking her to India. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at Kanchanpur District Police Office, Gyan Bahadur Seti said that two others from the municipality were detained for helping the Indian national in trafficking the girl. Meanwhile, police are investigating into the matter.
