KATHMANDU: Nepal Students Union, the student wing of main opposition Nepali Congress, on Friday staged a demonstration against the hike in the prices of petroleum products in Kathmandu. NSU cadres staged a protest in front of government colleges demanding the withdrawal of the decision to hike fuel prices. NSU vice-president Ram Prasad Adhikari said they were compelled to hit the streets as the government was hiking fuel prices every fortnight. “This has resulted in price hike of essential commodities and made life difficult for common people,” he said.
