Gold Smuggling: Prime accused to be transferred to Kathmandu

BIRATNAGAR: Prime accused of the infamous gold smuggling and murder case will be transferred to Kathmandu for further legal proceedings, authorities said. Earlier, anti-money laundering department had sought permission from District Court, Morang to bring Chudamani Upreti (Gorey), Bhujung Gurung and Tsering Wangdel Ghale to Kathmandu for an investigation to which the court nodded a-go-ahead on Sunday. At present, Upreti and Ghale are in judicial custody at District Prison, Morang in Biratnagar while Gurung has been remanded at Regional Prison, Jhumka.
