90 per cent problems of Bhutanese refugees solved in Jhapa

Jhapa, June 21 Officials from Nepal government and donor agencies today said 90 per cent problems of Bhutanese refugees living in eastern Nepal for the past two-and-a-half decades had been resolved. Speaking at a programme organised at Jhapa’s Damak-based Beldangi Refugees Camp on the occasion of World Refugees Observation Day-2018 today, officials from Nepal government and donor agencies stated that 90 per cent of the problems faced by refugees from Bhutan had been settled. Jhapa CDO Janakraj Dahal said the process of settling Bhutanese refugees had reached the final stage. He pointed out that the problem of refugees living in Nepal after third country resettlement was serious and difficult.
