Surkhet-Humla direct air service begins

SURKHET: As per the policy of Karnali Province to ensure direct flight service in all districts of the province for better connectivity and convenient services to the people, Surkhet-Humla direct air service has started Friday.

Chief Minister of Karnali Province Mahendra Bahadur Shahi inaugurated the Surkhet-Humla flight by travelling in the 9NAJH Dornier Plane of Sita Airlines himself.

Chief Minister Shahi and Tourism Minister Nanda Singh Budha and 11 other passengers reached Humla from the 10:00 am flight on Friday.

Chief Minister Shahi after returning to Surkhet from Humla said the provincial government was making efforts to link all the districts of the province to the province capital, Surkhet.

'We were preparing to begin Surkhet-Dolpa flight on Friday itself but it could not take place due to adverse weather,' he added. Chief of Surkhet Airport Binod Panta said that there would be no scarcity of planes provided sufficient number of passengers.

He informed the fare of Surkhet-Humla flight is fixed between Rs 5,000 and Rs 6,000.
