Nawalpur, July 23 Gandaki Province Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung today accused the Nepali Congress of carrying Dr Govind KC for political gain. Addressing the 40th memorial assembly of Nepal Communist Party Founder General Secretary Pushpalal Shrestha at Nawalpur’s Kawasoti, Gurung argued that NC carrying Dr KC would not affect the incumbent government. “The government cannot fulfil all the demands raised by a single person,” Gurung added. Gurung, who is also a standing committee member of Nepal Communist Party, claimed that the communist government would last for 25 years in Nepal. He commented that Nepali Congress had become leaderless. “NC’s leadership is in crisis right now. NC should better make Dr KC its president to fill the vacuum”, he added. CM Gurung said that the government was doing great in terms of people’s livelihood and prosperity. He said that the government could nationalise all the health institutions in a few days. But, we are equally sensitive about the conservation of individuals’ private property, Gurung stated. He accused the NC of making education profit-oriented from service-oriented. He asked the NC not to teach them about lessons on rule of law, democracy and republicanism. CM Gurung said that Nawalpur was the southern gate to Gandaki Province. He said that the provincial government was committed to ushering in prosperity and progress in Nawalpur. He pledged to supply electricity to all the villages in Gandaki Province in two years.
