Landslip buries two houses in Jajarkot, several casualties feared

JAJARKOT: Authorities carrying out a search and rescue operation fear several causalities after a landslip swept two houses in Thati Bazaar in Jajarkot. According to Police Inspector Indrajit Sunar, the condition of around 12 persons buried under the debris is unknown as the houses they were residing in were swept by a landslide that occurred around 7:00 am on Sunday. Two kids were rescued alive by a team of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army personnel and locals while a kid was found dead. The rescued children were taken to District Hospital for treatment while search and rescue to find the remaining persons is underway.
