Teenage girl slips, drowns in Rautahat river

RAUTAHAT: A girl drowned in the Sakhuwa River flowing through Ishnath Municipality in Rautahat on Wednesday. 19-year-old Hasina Khatun of Dumriya Village in the municipality lost her life after she slipped into the river while freshening up at around 12:30 PM. She was out grazing the goats. A team of police led by Police Inspector Manoj Yadav recovered Khatun’s deceased body from the river following a search lasting nearly two hours. The deceased’s body has been handed over to her kin after an autopsy at Gaur Hospital, police informed.
