KATHMANDU: The Flood Forecasting Section of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued alert messages to people residing near Koshi river bank in the districts of Sunsari and Saptari.

According to the section, the flood level at Chatara (Station Number 695) has crossed warning level since 10:00 am on Monday and hence, the residents have been advised to take precaution for the coming days.
