Constitutional Council seeks candidates for 8 different commissions

KATHMANDU: The Government of Nepal through the Constitutional Council has begun the process of forming eight different constitutional commissions. The council secretariat today has called for 'expert' candidates to submit their applications for the post of commissioner and members for the respective commissions. Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission, Women's Commission, Dalit Commission, Inclusion Commision, Madhesi Commission, Tharu Commission and Muslim Commission are in the process of formation. Candidates cam submit their application online via the Office of the Prime Minister's website. According to the Constitution, commissioner and member aspirants must possess at least ten years of experience of expertise in the related field, must hold at least a Bachelor's degree from a reputed university and be 45 years or above, in terms of age. The applicant should not hold any affiliation with any political parties, as per the constitutional requirement.
