Rautahat, August 27 The bodies of two more persons, who went missing after a boat capsized in Gaur Municipality’s Lalbakaiya River last Saturday, were found today. With this, it is clear that four persons have lost their lives while one is still missing in the incident. District Police Office, Rautahat, said that the helper on the boat Om Prakash Chandrabanshi, 19, and Ushma Kumari Patel, 10, of Tikuliya were found dead 10 kilometres away from the incident site in Khodipakad Ghat, India today. Police said the bodies were handed over to the relatives after post-mortem in District Hospital, Rautahat, today. Earlier, missing Shanti Devi Sha of Tikuliya and Runa Devi Patel of Ishanath Municipality were found dead in Jamuaa, India. SP Kedar Dhakal of District Police Office said that police have been searching for the missing woman Indu Devi Patel, 40, of Tikuliya. Meanwhile, leaders and cadres of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) demonstrated in front of District Administration Office today demanding action against the chief of Pappu Construction Harinarayan Rauniyar who did not complete the bridge over the Lalbakaiya River on time. Youth leader Shambhu Sah of NCP submitted a memorandum to the prime minister through the administration saying that many people had lost their lives due to delay in completion of the bridge. Pappu Construction had agreed to complete the bridge on July, 25 last year. Senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal of NCP issuing a statement through his social site said the main accused in the boat incident was the contractor of the bridge. He urged the government to take action against the contractor and to provide relief to the families of the deceased and the injured. He expressed condolence to the bereaved families. Meanwhile, Chief District Officer Govinda Prasad Rijal has provided Rs one lakh each to the families of Shanti Devi Sah of Gaur and Runa Devi Patel of Ishanath Municipality who had lost their lives in the boat incident as relief. He informed that Rs one lakh relief amount would be provided to each of the bereaved family whose member was found dead. Similarly, presidium member of Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal Anil Kumar Jha, expressing deep condolence to the bereaved families, provided Rs 25,000 personally to each of the deceased families. Likewise, Mayor Santosh Maheta of Ishanath Municipality said that Rs 50,000 was offered to the deceased Runa Devi Patel’s family. Deputy Mayor Kiran Thakur of Gaur Municipality said that Rs 25,000 each was offered to the families of the three deceased from Tikuliya. READ ALSO:
