Two weeks ago, local Hari Lal Saha of the municipality's ward no. 7, who made a pilgrimage to Babadham in India, was tested positive for swine flu. Health camps have been set up at different places to provide treatment to people with symptoms such as coughing, fever and common cold. District Public Health Office Chief Niranjan Prasad Yadav said, 'Regular activities have been adversely affected due to lack of budget in the municipality. In the meantime, there is a surge in the number of patients with high fever due to change in weather,' Yadav shared. Until now, a team led by Dr Prakash Sah dispatched from the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division has already conducted health checkup of more than 3,000 people at four health camps set up at different places in the municipality, according to municipality health coordinator Dambar Gupta.
