POKHARA: The 39th World Tourism Day was celebrated at Kahundanda in Pokhara Metropolitan City on Thursday. Speaking at a programme organised to celebrate the occasion in Pokhara, Minister for Industry, Forest and Environment Bikash Lamsal said a statue of Buddha and Yashodhara would be constructed in Kahundanda at the earliest. Minister Lamsal said Pokhara metropolis would be declared a special tourism area after some months. Western Hotel Association,  Pokhara, welcomed tourists at Pokhara Airport on Thursday with the slogan ‘Tourism and Digital Transformation’. Similarly, Nepal Association of Tour and Travels Agents also organised a programme at  Buspark of the Lake City. Likewise, Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal, Pokhara, organised a one-day mini street festival in Lakeside area.
