Attorney General directs police to file case seeking life imprisonment to rapists

DHANUSHA: Attorney General Agni Prasad Kharel has directed the police department to file case seeking life imprisonment to the men arrested for raping and murdering 10-year-old Manika Yadav along with confiscation of all property.

He directed Superintendent of Police Govinda Thapaliya in this regard during an inspection of the offices of district government advocate and high government advocate in Janakpur.

Kharel also met Manika’s family at her house in Aaurahi Rural Municipality.

During the meeting, he assured the bereaved family of action against the rapists and economic support to them.

Dhanusa Police have arrested Binod Mukhiya and Nathuni Pandit from the locality. Both of the arrestees have confessed to the crime.
