Sandeep Lamichhane to play from Melbourne Stars in Aussie Big Bash League

KATHMANDU: Nepali cricket sensation Sandeep Lamichhane is all set to play in the Big Bash League -- an Australian professional Twenty20 cricket league. The league was established in 2011 by Cricket Australia.

The national cricket team member had left for Australia on conclusion of ICC World Cup T20 Asia Region Selection ‘B’ matches held in Malaysia recently.

Sandeep who has back to back national and international achievements to his credit is now associated to Australian cricket league which is a high division league. Lamichhane will represent Melbourne Stars Club in the league. He has already signed a contract with the club. The first match of the Big Bash League will commence on December 19.
