Pokhara Premier League T20 cricket league kicks off today

KATHMANDU: Pokhara Premier League, the Twenty20 cricket league has kicked off at Pokhara Stadium today. The first match is being played between Biratnagar Titans and Pokhara Paltan. The cricket league, which is being organised by Queens Event Management Nepal with official support from Nabil Bank will conclude on November 6 at the Pokhara Stadium. A total of six franchise teams are taking part in the tournament. National team skipper Paras Khadka is the marquee player of Chitwan Rhinos, while his national team deputy Gyanendra Malla leads the Kathmandu Royals. Likewise, Sandeep Lamichhane is the marquee player of Biratnagar Titans, while Butwal Blasters have signed Sompal Kami. Dhangadhi Blues have given the responsibility to Dipendra Singh Airee, whereas Sharad Vesawkar is the marquee player of Pokhara Paltan. Former batting consultant of Afghanistan and Nepal cricket team has been welcomed as the Tournament Director for the inaugural edition of the PPL.
