Seven-year-old injured in leopard attack

Damauli, November 17 A seven-year-old boy was injured after a leopard attacked him at Bhanu Municipality in Tanahun today. Police said that Sanjan Nepali of Bhanu Municipality was injured when the leopard attacked him while he was heading towards the local market, along with his friends, at around 6:00am. Sanjan has received injuries to his ahead and is receiving treatment at a local health facility. Sub-inspector Jagat Dhakal at Area Police Office, Bhanu, said Sanjan was out of danger. The same leopard had killed a four-year-old girl some two days ago in the same municipality.  Asmita Lamsal had lost her life in the leopard attack while she was playing at her house on Thursday evening. Forest Division Office on Friday had offered Rs 50,000 as expenses for the funeral of the deceased’s family. Local in Bhanu are living in terror after the leopard started attacking humans one after another. Meanwhile, police said that they were searching for the leopard that had been terrorising the locals. SI Dhakal said that Armed Police Force and Nepal Police had been searching for the leopard in Majuwa Okhle Community Forest. Earlier, a police team had found six cubs in the same forest some three months ago. Locals said the leopard had to be taken under control as it had posed a threat to their lives.
