Cannabis destroyed in Bhojpur, Dhankuta

BHOJPUR: As many as 8,000 plants of cannabis were destroyed by the provincial police of Province 1 in Bhojpur and Dhankuta districts on Thursday. A police team deployed from Area Police Office, Boyang destroyed 1,170 naturally grown cannabis plants in Aamchok Rural Municipality-7 in Bhojpur, according to the District Police Office. Similarly, police deployed from Ghodetar Area Police Office and Hasanpur Police Post destroyed 1,300 plants of cannabis, illegally cultivated in a forest near Mangtungwa Khakuwa Khola and in the land belonging to Jas Bahadur Rai, Man Bahadur Rai, Nepal Man Rai, Phul Kumari Rai in wards 4,5,6, and 7 of Hatuwagadhi Rural Municipality in Bhojpur. Likewise, police team deployed from Dhankuta District Police Office, Chintang Area Police Office and Chanuwa Police Post destroyed 5,500 plants of marijuana in the forest areas of Sahid Bhumi Rural Municipality-7 and Mahalaxmi Municipality-4 in Dhankuta.
