Security beefed up for Uttar Pradesh CM’s arrival

Janakpurdham, December 11 Security has been beefed up in Janakpur, the birthplace of Sita, in view of the expected visit of Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, India, here to take part in the Ram-Janaki Vivaha Mahotsav tomorrow. Yogi will lead a marriage procession from Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram. According to Chief District Officer Pradipraj Kandel of Dhanusha, Adityanath will directly come to Janakpur from Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow. He is scheduled to land at Janakpur Airport at 10:15am tomorrow in an aircraft that will have a total of nine persons on board including him, four security personnel and crew members. “From the airport, he will go to the Janaki temple and offer puja there for half an hour before heading to the province secretariat on the premises of Janakpur Cigarette Factory, where he will rest,” Kandel said. In the daytime, the visiting Indian chief minister will attend a mid-day meal and a Mithila Cultural Programme hosted by the provincial government in his honour. Province 2 Chief Minister Lalbabu Raut will honour and felicitate the guest on the occasion. Following that, Yogi will visit Barahabigha where the symbolic marriage rituals of Ram and Sita will be held. There too, CM Raut will honour him. On the occasion, the visiting Indian guest will give a short speech. Before that, Janaki temple Mahantha Ramtapeshwor Das Baishnav will also honour Yogi. Province Police chief DIG Hari Bahadur Pal informed that more than 4,000 personnel of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have been deployed in the town area from today for security. “Along with our personnel, there will be 35 Indian security personnel present,” he added. Seven special vehicles, including bullet-proof vehicles have also been brought to Janakpur. “A test flight of the aircraft that will be carrying the visiting guest to Janakpur tomorrow was conducted today,” Pal informed, adding that the aircraft that landed at Janakpur at 10:15am today flew to Lucknow at 11:50am. Yogi will fly to Patna of the Indian state of Bihar tomorrow. Meanwhile, Janaki temple has informed that preparations for tomorrow’s symbolic marriage ceremony to be performed as per Mithila tradition are over.
