Dhading, January 15 Former Minister and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) central member Mahesh Basnet today  urged Dr Govind KC, who has been staging a fast-unto-death for the sixteenth time in Ilam, not to disseminate rumour against the NCP and to stop weakening his body by staging hunger strike. Speaking at a press meet organised by Press Organisation Dhading in Dhadingbesi, Basnet accused Dr KC of staging the hunger strike to defame the incumbent government and shut down medical colleges operated by entrepreneurs aligned with the NCP. Basnet claimed that forces that are against operation of medical colleges in the country were behind Dr KC’s frequent fast-unto-death against medical colleges. Basnet said the Nepali Congress was working hard to defame Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari in the wide body purchase scam. “But, now the NC itself is trapped as the media has indicated possible involvement of NCs president Sher Bahadur Deuba in the wide body procurement scam.” READ ALSO:
