TANAHUN: Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel on Tuesday urged Tanahun locals to be prepared to retain GP Koirala National Centre for Respiratory Diseases in the district. Talking to the The Himalayan Times, Paudel commented that the Oli government’s move to scrap the hospital named after Koirala was note acceptable to his party. He warned of an agitation both from the street and Parliament if the government did not roll back its decision. “We shall meet with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in a few days and take the next step on the basis of the PM’s response,” Paudel stated. He claimed that the hospital was established at his initiative and would not allow it to be scrapped due to political prejudice. “What is he communist government trying to do by scrapping the hospital?” he wondered.
