Kathmandu, January 21 Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today reached Davos, Switzerland, leading a Nepali delegation to the 49th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum. This is the first time the prime minister of Nepal is attending the WEF Annual Meeting. PM Oli is accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya and his delegation consists of Minister of Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Minister of Finance Yuba Raj Khatiwada and other high-ranking officials. Minister Gyawali informed in a Twitter post about his arrival in Davos this afternoon. This year’s WEF annual meeting will be held from 22 to 25 January on the theme of ‘Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution’. The Prime Minister will address, as a panelist, two separate sessions on ‘Strategic Outlook on South Asia’ and ‘Shaping the Future of Democracy’ to be held on 22 and 23 January respectively. He will also address the Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders on the theme of ‘The End of Global Trade as We Know It?’ on 23 January. He will hold meetings with political as well as business leaders during the visit, as per the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
