Gaighat, January 24 Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve has installed an electric fence to keep locals safe from wild beats. Earlier, locals from adjoining areas of the wild life reserve were forced to live in fear as wild beasts such as tuskers and buffaloes would attack them, damage crops and destroy their homes. Belaka Municipality and the wild life reserve have installed electric wires on five kilometre area in Udayapur, three kilometres in Saptari and 12 kilometres in Sunsari at a cost of Rs 24 million. With electric wire fence, locals have started feeling safe.
