Kathmandu, January 29 Bansbari Youth Club and Spark Health Home Hospital today signed the sponsorship deal ahead of the Martyrs Memorial B Division League. Bansbari, who are preparing to participate in the B Division League starting on February 8, got the main sponsors in Spark Hospital for one year. Bansbari Club President Prem Thapa and Spark Hospital Director Rupesh Adhikari signed the memorandum of understanding at a programme. As per the agreement, Spark Hospital will provide the club with Rs 800,000 in cash and kinds and also provide the players with discount in treatment. “We are happy to get the support from Spark Hospital as it is a huge relief for us in our participation in the B Division League,” said Thapa. He informed the club had prepared an estimated budget of Rs 2.2 million. “As the league does not have promotion and relation provisions, we have prepared the team accordingly,” he added. Spark Director Adhikari said the hospital management was happy to get associated the club with rich history. “We wanted to be associated with Nepali football and we chose Bansbari as it was a perfect proposal as per our budget,” said Adhikari. “We had planned to sponsor A division outfit but we could not do that due to the budget constraint,” he added. President of All Nepal Football Association Karma Tsering Sherpa said the agreement was the beginning of professionalism. “I am happy that B division clubs are also getting sponsors and it will ultimately help in the development of Nepali football,” he added.
