DAMAULI: Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel has accused the government of being propped up by the corrupt and smugglers. Speaking at a protest meeting in Damauli, Tanahun, on Sunday, Paudel called the government a failure as it had failed to ensure  security, development and good governance. “The government led by KP Oli  has proved the worst in history as crimes such as murder, violence and  rape have gone up,” Poudel observed. He lamented the lack of investigation into the mysterious death of NC Tanahun leader Uda Bahadur  Ale. “The government was really up to scrapping the Tanahun-based Girija Prasad National Respiratory Hospital and Banke’s hospital set up   after late Shusil Koirala, but thanks to our agitation from the street  and the Parliament, it finally kept those hospitals under the federal government,” he said.
