10 SEE candidates expelled, exam cancelled in Siraha

Siraha/Rajbiraj, March 28 As many as 10 students appearing for the Secondary Education Examination were expelled on the fourth day of the examinations from two centres of Siraha today. The examination monitoring committee expelled the students after they were found to be violating the examination code of conduct. Chief of Siraha District Education Coordination Committee Dol Raj Pandey said that five students from Lahan Municipality-based Brahman Gorchhari Secondary School centre and five from Pasupati Secondary School centre were expelled. He said that three students had taken their mobile phones into the examination hall while two others were copying at Gorchhari Secondary School centre. He also added that the question of Science subject had been leaked through the internet just some minutes after  the examination started. The examination inspection committee said five students from Pashupati Secondary School were expelled after they were caught cheating. Meanwhile, the Secondary Education Examination was  cancelled after the questions of Science subject was leaked before the  examination started in Saptari today. Chief District Officer  Surendra Poudel confirmed that the examination was cancelled due to the  same reason. He said that the examination was cancelled after the  District Examination Committee meeting today. He informed that  investigation was underway to find out how the questions were leaked. As many as 8,798 students are appearing for the SEE from 34 examination centres in Saptari this year.
