KATHMANDU: Play for Deprived Children Nepal (PDCN) is organising the second edition of the Nepal Basketball League from April 20. A total of eight teams will take part in the league which will run for 55 days, making it the biggest and longest basketball tournament of the country. The participating teams — Golden Gate International Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Budhanilkantha Municipality, Royal Basketball Club, Kirtipur Basketball Club, Times International Club and South Siders — will play against each other in home-and-away format, informed the organisers at a press meet on Monday. After the double-leg round robin league, top four teams will make it to the playoffs. Top two teams will receive Rs 200,000 and Rs 100,000 respectively.
