KATHMANDU: A clash ensued between police personnel and cadres of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, who were staging demonstrations in Putalisadak area, this afternoon. Police fired a few rounds of tear-gas shells to disperse the protesters, THT Online's Sandeep Sen reported. Nepal Police Spokesperson, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Uttam Raj Subedi said, 'Police used force to disperse demonstrators as they were obstructing vehicular movement along the road.' He further said the situation has been taken under control and things are back to normal. RPP had called for a protest-rally at Putalisadak, right next to Singha Durbar, demanding the reinstatement of a Hindu state and constitutional monarchy.
