Dhading District Police Office displays arms collected from locals

DHADING: The District Police Office of Dhading on Monday made public 46 weapons collected by different police units that were submitted by locals, on its premises. In line with the directive from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Dhading District Administration Office had issued a notice to the locals to submit all weapons, licensed as well as illegal. Organising a press meet, the District Police Office made public the weapons submitted by locals to different police units. SP Raj Kumar Baidhya informed that locals had handed over 46 weapons within the deadline. The arms were especially collected from Rubey Valley, Khaniyabash and Gangajamuna rural municipalities of the district. Chief District Officer of Dhading Bhagirath Pandey said that action would be taken against those people failing to submit weapons within the deadline. The Ministry of Home Affairs had written to all the DAOs to collect weapons after criminal activities of the Netra Bikram Chand-led party increased.
